Role

As we determine our needs for the upcoming school year, we are proactively seeking dynamic, engaging individuals who would be interested in joining our faculty community. The faculty role would:

• Teach the respective curriculum for Fifth Grade to Ninth grade,
• Maintain regular office hours in order to advise and assist students in a variety of areas, including potential careers in their related field of study,
• Assess students and analyze results; refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs,
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices throughout the school; share best practices,
• Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress,
• Manage student behavior to ensure every student is fully engaged,
• Actively participate in professional development activities,
• Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to effectively address those needs,
• Support the mission, vision, and core values of Greater Atlanta Christian School,
• Serve as sponsors of student organizations and participate in campus and community events.
• Perform other related work as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the related curriculum area is required; a master’s degree is preferred;
• The successful candidate will possess relevant teaching experience; the ability to teach at the AP level is preferred;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
• Ability and willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices;
• Ability to embrace innovation as a tool to teach, engage, and motivate students;
• Knowledge of student cognitive development and various learning styles;
• Share GAC’s commitment to differentiated learning and exhibit comprehension of connected learning skills, concepts, and tools.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community;
• Computer and internet search skills.

• Successful background check, reference checking, and drug/alcohol screening clearance,
