Job Summary
Greater Baden Medical Services, an FQHC dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as a Vaccine for Children (VFC) Coordinator & Prescription Authorization Specialist. This dual role ensures compliance with the VFC program across three pediatric clinics and oversees prescription authorization processes to support efficient, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of clinical expertise, program coordination skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Vaccine for Children (VFC) Program Coordination :
- Serve as the VFC Program Coordinator, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations across three pediatric clinics.
- Conduct regular VFC program audits to verify adherence to inventory management, storage, handling, and record-keeping standards.
- Oversee vaccine storage and handling processes, including temperature monitoring and emergency protocols.
- Order, receive, and track VFC vaccine inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Train clinical and administrative staff on VFC program requirements, including eligibility screening, documentation, and proper vaccine administration.
- Prepare and submit required reports to state and federal agencies accurately and on time.
- Act as the primary liaison for VFC program updates, inspections, and communications with regulatory bodies.
