Under limited supervision is responsible for the management of the Accredited Primary Stroke Center. Provides oversight for the care of Stroke patient throughout the continuum and collaborates with the Stroke leadership team members and collaborates closely with the Stroke Medical Director to ensure comprehensive medical record documentation to reflect clinical treatment, decisions, and diagnoses for inpatients.
Education :
MSN preferred or BSN with a commitment to attain a Master's degree in 5 years.
Licensures / Certifications :
Current registration with the Maryland Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification)
Experience :
Five (5) years of nursing experience. Clinical experience with stroke patients. Experience in clinical program development and management.
Skills :
- Advanced knowledge of nursing practice and general administration in order to oversee planning and implementation of patient care and ability to prepare necessary analyses, reports, policies and budgets.
- Analytical skills necessary to organize and oversee the work of others and to develop and administer sound policies, procedures, budgets and practices that are in alignment with the Joint Commission (TJC) Disease Specific Care and Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System (MIEMSS) COMAR Regulations.
- Skilled in written and oral communication.
