The YMCA of the North Shore is seeking a Summer Literacy Assistant to support classroom and camp activities in Greater Beverly . In this role, you will play a key part in helping children strengthen their literacy and social skills while ensuring they stay engaged and continue to grow throughout the summer.
What You’ll Do :
- Assist in leading literacy-based activities that promote learning in a fun and supportive environment.
- Supervise children during classroom and camp activities, ensuring a safe and structured experience.
- Support curriculum implementation and classroom management while fostering positive behavior.
- Provide consistency in supervision and communication throughout the day.
- Build meaningful relationships with participants, encouraging engagement, confidence, and respect for diversity.
- Apply principles of child development to create an enriching learning experience.
Program Details :
Dates : Monday, July 7th – Friday, August 8th (mandatory training sessions will take place prior to the program start).
Salary : $18
