This Afterschool Staff position is a unique opportunity to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of Vermont's youth. As a key member of our staff, you will assist the Program Director in planning and executing engaging programs, activities, and events that promote fun, diversity, and inclusivity. Your energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence will help create a safe and supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality programming that meets the needs of our participants* Collaborate with the Program Director to plan and execute activities, events, and outings* Maintain accurate records and reports as required* Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and guardians* Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent* 2 years of experience working with children, preferably in a youth-focused setting* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.* Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varying hours* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to YMCA policies and procedures.
