The Greater Cleveland RTA is searching for a OEO Program Administrator in our Equal Opportunity, ADA & DEI Department.
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of the Office of Equal Opportunity, Americans with Disability Act (ADA), and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belongings (DEIB), the OEO Program Administrator is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state civil rights laws. The OEO Program Administrator also acts as an assistant to the Sr. Manager as it relates to civil rights and ADA functions. The duties include conducting investigations of internal charges of harassment and discrimination regarding Equal Opportunity (EO) and ADA; Maintain relevant statistics on minorities and women in the external labor force and internally within GCRTA; Assist in collecting and analyzing employment data; Assist in recruiting minority, disabled and women applicants and establishing outreach sources for use by hiring officials; Design, implement, and monitor internal audit and reporting systems to measure programs (Title VII, ADA and Title VI) effectiveness and to determine where progress has been made and where further action is needed; Provide orientation to new employees and in other employees’ relations sessions for the purpose of explaining GCRTA's EEO and ADA policies; Assist with ADA accommodations/appeals and/ or meet with the ADA citizens; and Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required. The Administrator will work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders to advance the principles of equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Job Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, human resources, public administration, paralegal or a closely related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in civil rights, ADA compliance, Information Systems (e.g. auditing, operations analysis, report writing, budget/financial analysis, process improvement, or related area. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as HRMS software. Must have basic knowledge of GroupWise/Outlook, or similar email communication, and Internet. Applicants must have strong interpersonal skills. Applicants must also have experience in coordinating and determining action for data analysis. Applicants must have experience examining, evaluating and presenting data. Applicants must have experience with combining and integrating data. Applicants must also have excellent oral and written communication skills. Applicants must have experience of transcribing, entering and posting data. Applicants must also have experience with gathering, collecting and classifying information. Applicants must be able to effectively exchange ideas, information and opinions with others. Applicants must be able to teach/train subject matter to others through explanation, demonstration and/or supervised practice, as well as make recommendations based on technical disciplines. Applicants must also be able to present alternative actions in reaction to evaluations. Must be able to perform simple math functions. Must be able to read text/print and write correspondence.

Environmental Conditions: This person will work predominantly in an office type environment.
