What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Surgery Equipment Technician position at Greater Columbus Oral Surgery & Dental Implants?
We are looking for a highly motivated Dental Instrument Specialist to join our team at Greater Columbus Oral Surgery & Dental Implants. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sterilization techniques, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
The Dental Instrument Specialist is responsible for processing and sterilizing all instruments for daily use, including collecting used and contaminated equipment, manually cleaning supplies of contaminants, operating and maintaining decontamination equipment, and preparing and packaging decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for examining supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized, testing and reporting any issues or problems with sterilization equipment, and sterilizing, prepping, wrapping, and organizing equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures.
