Salary determined by the GEHR Board of Education and commensurate with experience and according to the agreed upon and valid GEHREA contract.
Job Goal
As a member of the Child Study Team, School psychologists apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. They provide assessment, support, and intervention services to students; partner with families, teachers, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments; and collaborate with community providers to coordinate services for students
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree from an accredited institution
License/Certification

Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree from an accredited institution
License/Certification
- NJDOE Certification with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Successful completion of required criminal history review background check and sexual misconduct/child abuse disclosure process
- Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
- Requires knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations governing special education
- Requires skill and good judgment in communicating with students, staff, parents, and members of the community
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Possess critical evaluation, thinking, and ethical decision-making skills
