If you are ready to :
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, designers, CAD / GIS techs, ROW agents, and managers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement the strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Identify emerging technologies and trends to keep the company at the forefront of the industry.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team. Review and approve designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
Work closely with other departments, including System Control and Field Operations, and Public Relations, to ensure seamless integration of engineered solutions.
Develop and manage the Engineering budget. Optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, codes, laws, and safety protocols. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
Required experience :
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Alaska or equivalent certification.
Minimum of 10 years of experience engineering in the electric utility industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design, and analysis. Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
