Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Coordinator/Assistant Manager to oversee our programs and services aimed at supporting low- income elderly and disabled individuals in HUD rent subsidized housing. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, excellent relationship management abilities, and a passion for program development. This role is crucial in ensuring that our services are delivered effectively and meet the needs of our residents.
Duties
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, their families, and community partners.
- Arrange and oversee program activities such as bus trips, catered lunches, transportation and social events.
- Collaborate with manager on program development initiatives to enhance service offerings.
- Manage budgets related to programs, ensuring financial accountability.
- Provide administrative support including reporting, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Engage in social work practices to support individuals in achieving their yearly goals.
- Assist manager with HUD responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, interviewing applicants, and apartment inspections.
Requirements
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in program management and development.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial oversight related to service programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
