The Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a home-improvement thrift store that benefits Habitat for Humanity’s mission! We specialize in furniture, appliances, household goods, and building materials.
We’re seeking professional delivery drivers to help make our donors and customers happy on the route and in the store! You’ll pick up household donations, bring them to the store, and get them ready for sale by cleaning, pricing, and merchandising. This job involves both driving and working in our store.
Job Perks:
- Weekly pay starting at $18/hour great benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and more!)
- Set schedule: 9:30am-6:00pm, guaranteed 40 hours a week, with little to no overtime
- Every Sunday off: get every Sunday another weekday off (M-F). Saturdays are required
- Job variety: time spent driving, riding along as a helper, and working in the store
- Learn about business operations: assist with donations, pricing, merchandising, and customer service
- Reasonable workload: 6-8 local stops per day and an engaged, yet relaxed pace in the store
- Team of two (driver helper) with all necessary equipment for safety during donation pick-ups

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 and have a valid driver’s license (No CDL required)
- Clean driving record and background with no convictions related to theft, violence, or assault
- Willing and able to drive a 16ft box truck, lift heavy items, provide customer service, and assist with pricing/merchandising
- 2 years of box truck or light freight experience (UPS, Amazon, FedEx experience is a plus)
- Experience loading/unloading your own truck, set-up and installation upon delivery, handling customer interactions, and working in a store/warehouse when not on a route is preferred
- Flexible, self-starter with strong initiative
- Able to maintain a polite, professional demeanor while completing strenuous physical tasks, keeping the route on schedule, and managing changing priorities.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and in all weather conditions
- Able to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting, bending, etc.)
