Greater Iowa Credit Union is currently seeking a Card Services Manager to manage the overall activity of card services by planning, organizing, and directing the day to day and strategic activities. This position will also oversee overall card product performance and make recommendations to ensure strategic growth goals are met. This includes but is not limited to obtaining and interpreting reports, interfacing with vendors, observing and reporting regularly on status of the card portfolio, and making recommendations for improving overall results.
Location: 1509 Baltimore Drive, Ames, IA 50010
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and implementation of strategy to support profitability, including service and sales delivery of credit, debit and ATM card programs.
- Oversees Cards Department daily operational functions including monitoring risk, ensuring accurate reporting, performance coaching and ongoing training.
- Acts as subject matter expert on cards/payments. Manages multiple vendor relationships. Collaborates with other credit union departments to resolve issues. Recommends and implements procedural changes as needed.
- Review credit applications and recommend revisions to underwriting standards as needed to maintain organizational risk and meet growth goals.
- Conduct regular review of market trends and competitor analysis.
- Foster a team environment conducive to member satisfaction, as well as employee achievement and fulfillment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Salary : $60,400 - $76,500
