What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clean Energy Careers Program Manager position at Greater Lawrence Technical School?
Part-time position for 2.5 years.
Under the direction of the Superintendent-Director, the GLTS Clean Energy Careers Program Manager is responsible for fully planning and implementing all aspects of the Clean Energy Education Program funded by a Merrimack Valley Renewal Fund grant managed by the MA Attorney General’s Office.

Oversee all aspects of the Clean Energy Careers Program to ensure program success.
GENERAL
* Manage the AGO MVRF grant. This includes, but isn’t limited to, collaboration with the funder, reaching milestones, narrative and financial reporting, budget management.
*Pursue partnership and funding opportunities to reinforce the preparation of all students for careers that lower carbon emissions.
*
Plan for the expansion of clean energy concepts and technologies into additional CTE areas.
* Organize and implement a school awareness campaign that focuses on the important role of careers that lower carbon emissions in jobs of the future.
Clean Energy Careers Unit:
*Bring together all stakeholders needed to develop the Clean Energy Careers Unit. This could include select administrators, instructional coaches and the contracted curriculum developer
*Work with stakeholders to schedule the Clean Energy Careers unit for the GLTS 9th – 12th graders in SY 2024-2025 and for 9th graders in each succeeding year. Also work with stakeholders to schedule the unit in the After Dark Program and the adult trainings.
*Work with stakeholders to organize orientation sessions for teachers who will deliver the Clean Energy Careers Unit, so they are confident and informed of lesson content.
*Ensure successful delivery of the Clean Energy Careers Unit as planned.
*Share the Unit with community partners as requested.
* Identify and resolve any challenges as they arise.
Integrating Clean Energy Concepts and Technologies into at least 10 GLTS CTE Areas:
*Coordinate stakeholders to ensure clean energy concepts and technologies are integrated into the GLTS 10th-12th grade curriculum in at least 10 CTE areas starting in SY ’24-’25, and continuing in SY ‘25-’26.
*Ensure that the curriculum is completed. Coordinate with GLTS administrators who will give oversight to curriculum development.
*Oversee professional development so instructors who are developing the curriculum are knowledgeable about clean energy / low carbon advances in their technical area.
*With the appropriate GLTS administrators, lead integration of the newly developed lessons, units, concepts and technologies into the curriculum taught each year.
*Coach instructors and/or coordinate assistance from GLTS coaches, so instructors are successful in delivering clean energy curricula in their classes.
Overseeing the Clean Energy Wage Reimbursement Program:
Oversee and support the Clean Energy Employment Success Manager, to ensure they achieve program goals.
