What are the responsibilities and job description for the SY 2025-2026 Business Technology Instructor position at Greater Lawrence Technical School?
Reporting to the Academy Supervisor, the Vocational Teacher’s role is to help students learn career area subject matter in accordance with educational frameworks and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible men and women.

*Teaches district-approved curriculum; prepares lesson plans accordingly.
*Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
*Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
*Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
*Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and work ethic when working on special projects.
*Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and --in harmony with the goals--establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
*Ensures accuracy and best practices for compliance with organizational standards.
*Keeps records and prepares progress reports.
*Keeps current in discipline and teaching techniques.
*Participates in professional development and remains current in the field.
*Any other relative teaching duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the classroom and students.
