ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Provide direct, research-based reading instruction to students with disabilities.
*Conduct and interpret literacy assessments, including diagnostic evaluations, progress monitoring, and standardized testing to inform instructional decisions.
*Analyze student performance data to develop and implement individualized and group interventions tailored to specific learning needs.
*Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, and vocational instructors to integrate literacy strategies into content-area instruction.
*Support staff through coaching, modeling best practices, and providing professional development on differentiated reading strategies and literacy interventions.
*Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by providing recommendations for reading instruction and accommodations.
*Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes.
Serve as a resource for instructional materials and assist in selecting appropriate literacy resources.
*Work closely with families to support students' literacy development and communicate progress effectively.
*Participate in school-wide literacy initiatives and contribute to developing reading curricula and instructional approaches.
