Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven sales professional to join our team with the title of Investor Development Relationship Manager. At GLI, investors are the businesses that make up our membership.

This role is responsible for recruiting, retaining, and deepening engagement with GLI's member businesses. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, self-starter, and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about relationships, and helping Greater Louisville businesses grow and succeed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Manage and renew relationships with existing GLI member businesses (investors) by providing proactive communication, personalized support, and clear membership ROI.
  • Recruit new businesses to join GLI as investors using prospecting strategies, lead generation tools, and a structured sales approach.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and connector by matching members with relevant GLI resources, including member businesses, talent attraction tools, advocacy efforts, economic development initiatives, and peer networks.
  • Identify business needs through research, conversation, and events to recommend GLI programs and services that offer real value.
  • Actively maintain CRM records for investor and prospect engagement.
  • Meet individual revenue goals through new member sales and renewals.
  • Represent GLI at networking events, investor gatherings, and outreach activities within the business and nonprofit communities.
  • Deliver effective, customized sales presentations to business decision-makers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service that contributes to high levels of member satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate with GLI internal teams to support investor onboarding and engagement.
  • Host and engage with investors and prospects at GLI-sponsored events, including lunches, dinner meetings, and community functions.
  • Maintain a high level of familiarity with GLI's full suite of offerings, including workforce solutions, economic data, and public policy initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years' experience in sales, business development, membership, or client-facing roles
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, go-get-um' attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data tracking
  • Knowledge of Greater Louisville's business landscape is a plus
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams
