What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Resource Instructor (One Year Position) position at Greater Lowell Technical High School?
This is a temporary assignment to provide coverage for a leave of absence. The tentative date is
April 2025 to April 2026 Salary to be determined based on license and experience.
The following list is representative of the tasks associated with this position and is not all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
To remediate handicaps and/or develop compensatory skills of special education students with specific learning disabilities and related emotional problems while supporting and aiding the student in obtaining a realistic occupational objective in a technical school environment through the operation of a Special Education Resource Center Program and by acting as a resource to the general education staff through a teaming approach in order to promote an integrated educational process.
Qualifications:
Possession of MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Educator's license in Special Education Moderate Disabilities (5-12) or be eligible for licensure by MA DESE and additional licensure in English, Science and/or Mathematics 8-12 strongly preferred.
Organizational Relationship:
Reports directly to the Director of Special Education
Must work cooperatively with colleagues, school employees, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Salary : $53,329 - $108,170
