The southern Maryland medical practice marketing representative is responsible for in person marketing calls to targets in Southern Maryland and other sites as assigned. Candidate should live in the southern Maryland territory. Must have previous experience making sales calls to medical practices.
Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Increase patient referrals through marketing the care and services offered by our award winning medical clinic across all clinic locations with the primary focus being southern Maryland.
- Provide feedback from referral sources and market trends.
- Assists in organizing, attending, executing and managing events with the medical community, legal community and public.
- Build lasting relationships with healthcare and legal professionals to increase patient referrals.
- Organize and attend a variety of meetings to grow referrals and strengthen relationships.
- Compile, maintain and updates a database of referral sources and leads.
- Facilitate networking and communication between physicians and outside referral sources.
- Create and comply with a daily marketing schedule.
- Typed, detailed documentation of daily face to face meetings with potential and current referral sources.
- Preform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Highly professional in appearance, tone and delivery and an effective communicator.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Strong follow-through and results tracking to achieve measurable targets.
- Sales/marketing specific background or education with focus on consultative selling.
- Experience in healthcare / pharmaceutical sales preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills, customer service driven, positive attitude.
- The ability to interact with, support, and influence positively the behavior and activities of referring physicians, attorneys, industry partners, superiors and staff/co-employees.
- Must be an exceptional listener, with the proven ability to problem-solve to issues discussed.
- Ability to use all necessary office equipment, faxes, copiers, etc.
- Required to be proficient in Windows based technologies (ex. Word, Excel).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
