Hours Per Week : 35 hours (5 days per week)
FLSA Classification : Exempt
Annual Salary Range : $170K to $200K
Our Chief Operations Officer (COO) reports directly to the CEO and is a key member of the Executive Team with responsibility to lead and manage a wide range of daily organizational operations.

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) directly responsible for developing and executing the internal operational strategies necessary to achieve the goals and objectives of Greater Mental Health of New York.
The COO will ensure the internal daily planning, implementation, management and oversight of the organization.
The Chief Operating Officer is an executive leadership position responsible for overseeing and enhancing the clinical and non-clinical programs and services of the organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high quality and evidence-based clinical care to meet the mental health needs of the community.
The Chief Operating Officer will serve a variety of roles and responsibilities when critical positions are vacant. The COO will work in close collaboration and in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the C-Suite leadership.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic leadership to the clinical and non-clinical department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and services.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to integrate clinical services with overall organizational strategy.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of clinical professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in clinical care, outcomes, and client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Participate in the development and management of all program department’s budget.
- Coordinate with the grant writing team and assist with developing and writing grants that align with agency strategic goals.
- Stay informed about advancements in mental health treatment and evidence-based practices.
- Supervise high level leadership staff, including over chief level staff.
- Act as a key strategic partner with the Chief Executive Officer.
- Lead board committees and attend all board meetings.
- Strong leadership role that initiates and leads change.
- Present at conferences or other external events as requested by the CEO.
- Represent the CEO during internal or external events.
- And any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values.
