Infant Toddler Lead Teacher
Greater Montessori School, is currently seeking an Infant Lead Teacher who is warm, motivated, and organized. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience and have passion for working with small children. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate to the next level of education. The available shift for this position is 8:30 - 5:30 or 9am - 6pm.
Infant Toddler Lead Teacher Job Description
- Working with infants in a center is required
- Maintaining the appearance, cleanliness and safety of your classroom
- Communicating effectively with parents by greeting them by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback and providing regular updates on their child's development and classroom activities
- Identifying opportunities and issues in the classroom, working in collaboration with the Assistant Teacher to resolve them
- Maintaining the appropriate training each year
- Attending all team meetings, trainings and events as requested
- Presenting a positive and professional image at all times by adhering to our uniform requirements
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding families, colleagues and yourself
Infant Toddler Lead Teacher Job Requirements
- High school degree required;
- 90 hours Infant Toddler Certification is Required.
- 9 hours of communications in lieu of college
- Minimum 2 years of work experience with Infant age group in a center
- Comprehensive working knowledge of child behavioral and developmental stages
- Adherence to MSDE-OCC licensing requirements
- Excellent work attendance
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work on the floor with students and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
