What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHOICES Financial Coordinator-INTERNAL POSTING position at Greater Nashville Regional Council?
The Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC) is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate CHOICES Financial Coordinator to assist individuals with navigating the TennCare application process. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring enrollees have access to the health coverage they need by providing support with documentation, tracking application progress, and coordinating follow-up actions.
The primary duties of this role include:
- Assist enrollees in submitting TennCare applications accurately and efficiently,
- Submit verification documents to TennCare on behalf of enrollees,
- Serve as the primary contact person to TennCare on behalf of Enrollee and CHOICES Team,
- Track and manage missing documentation for financial assistance applications,
- Obtain additional documentation from enrollees or third parties as needed to support applications,
- Track and manage TennCare referrals, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution,
- Prepare and maintain reports related to applications, verifications, referrals, and case outcomes,
- Attend required meetings and training sessions to stay current on program guidelines and best practices,
- Support the CHOICES and I&A teams with other TennCare-related functions,
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals and client needs.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience in Social Work or related field and experience in geriatrics and case management with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work within a team setting.
Required Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat software is required.
Remote Work Flexibility: This is not a remote position. The selected candidate will be expected to work onsite on core business days. Work from home flexibility is provided when possible at the discretion of the Manager.
Travel Expectations: This position will require travel throughout GNRC’s thirteen county region. A valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation is required.
Compensation: The minimum starting pay will depend on experience and qualifications. GNRC offers a fully paid pension through the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System and provides an optional 401k with dollar for dollar match of up to 3% of gross salary.
