Therapist (LICSW/LMHC): SIGN-ON BONUS – FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
Full-time (30-40 hours weekly)
Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00AM-6:00PM, Saturdays: 8:00AM-4:30PM (Urgent Care only)

NBCH is currently searching for a dedicated and experienced Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, cultural competence, and a passion for working with individuals and families facing mental health challenges is a busy but dynamic environment!
Position Overview:
As a Therapist at NBCH, you will provide high-quality therapy services to individuals, couples, and families within a busy, fast-paced setting. You will work closely with a team of medical and behavioral health professionals to deliver integrated care while managing a diverse caseload of clients. This role is ideal for a clinician seeking to make a meaningful impact in a community-centered setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive evaluations and brief behavioral health interventions for patients within the primary care, outpatient setting.
- Connect with patients in a warm hand-off or by referrals.
- Conduct Individual Therapy sessions with the adult population to improve mental health outcomes while supporting and respecting different cultural backgrounds.
- Support and closely coordinate mental health care with the patient’s primary care provider and other treating mental health and addiction treatment providers; collaborate with the larger behavioral health, care coordination, and medical teams.
- Screen and assess patients for depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, adjustment, substance use, and other behavioral health disorders using the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
- Provide brief interventions using evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT), DBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and/or other treatments appropriate for psychotherapy.
- Provide patient education about mental health and substance abuse disorders and available treatment options.
- Monitor patients (in person or by telephone) for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications.
- Report all suspected cases of abuse, neglect, and follows up to ensure patient receives timely comprehensive consultations and compliance with legal mandates.
- Conduct urgent behavioral health and crisis interventions as needed to evaluate for next level of care required for the safety and well-being of the patient; communicate with the local Crisis Centers and higher levels of care.
Required Education
• Master’s Degree
• Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
• One (1) year independent practice experience
