Position Purpose: This position is responsible for providing complex support and day-to-day assistance to administrators, staff, and students with regard to computer and network technological needs. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control; performs all other related work as required.
Work Year: Full Year - Due to the necessity to complete some work during times when school is not in session, the Technician will need to work at various times of the day.

- Oversees and installs and troubleshoots computer hardware issues throughout the district.
- Oversees and installs and maintains network backbone and wiring necessary to interconnect computers throughout the district
- Upgrades existing hardware with new components.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Servers.
- Install Software applications and creates documentation for the procedure.
- Work with students, instructing on proper cabling techniques, PC troubleshooting, and hardware diagnostics.
- Support employees in resolving problems with IT, AV and communications systems
- Record events, problems and resolutions in the IT request database.
- Assist in evaluation and testing of software / hardware in planning for future needs
- Responsible for the configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communications systems including but not limited to district video display systems, projection, audio systems, teleconferencing solutions.
- Over and installs media equipment such as projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors and cameras working with district support personnel and approved contractors.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on AV systems and equipment (Replace bulbs, clean filters & lenses, make minor adjustments, etc.)
- Provide in-person direct support for district staff using technology
- Educate users on A/V best practices
- Manage iOS devices through MDM solutions
- Oversee, manage, and maintain inventory of chromebook devices through Google Admin Console
- Manage application deployment to mobile devices
- Maintain a clean and accurate inventory of technology items
- Staff and student account maintenance.
- Maintain and update the District’s Student Information System.
- Export data from the District’s Student Information System.
- Attend meetings as required
- Other duties as may be assigned
Education, Training, and Experience:
Technical certifications such as Network or A certification, preferred
Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCP, preferred
Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years of and experience in Windows Environment
3-5 years of Experience in Desktop Management (ex: Intune), TCP/IP, File/Print Sharing, Switches, and Web based technologies
3-5 years of experience with a work order entry system and inventory system
