General Function :
Under the supervision of the Chief Compliance Officer, the individual will assist in all recruitment and compliance management functions. Responsibilities include assisting with the implementation and fostering of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program, the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, the National Transit Database (NTD) reporting, APTA reporting, Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) reporting, and internal department audits. The role requires strong research, reading, and comprehensive skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
Accountability :
This position reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and works collaboratively with all staff assigned to the District. Must maintain confidentiality under all circumstances.
Requirements :
- To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are required :
- A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in public transportation or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in human resources is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- A positive approach to engaging with staff, peers, and other business partners.
- Numerical literacy, with skills ranging from basic arithmetic to statistical analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization to collect and share essential information.
- Capability to complete tasks with minimal supervision, adhere to established deadlines, and act promptly whenever possible.
- Proficiency in personal computer skills.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates potential for performing the duties of this position.
