Description
The main purpose of Investigator is to investigate potentially fraudulent liability claims. To investigate potential fraudulent claims to determine direct evidence of fraud or patterns of fraud. This would include online searches; social media; ISO; public records; witness interviews person or on the phone - to take written and recorded statements; to prepare a captioned reports and recommendation to management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare captioned report or interim report within 30 days from the date of assignment
- Request, secure, claim submission documents (i.e. medical and other records), evaluate public records (police, fire, DOB, etc.), video, etc..
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI) strongly preferred
- 3 years’ premise liability insurance claims experience required
- 3 years’ experience as a SIU Investigator preferred
Skills:
- Must be assertive and friendly.
- Must be able to establish and maintain working relationships with insured personnel
- Must have excellent investigative skills & intellectual curiosity
- Must have above average verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel in the assigned territory
- Some lifting, bending, walking, climbing required
The salary range for this role is $51,000 - $89,200. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
