The Private Duty Nursing Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of care to our patients by efficiently coordinating caregivers and managing essential paperwork. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and confirm caregivers on patient cases, ensuring adequate coverage and continuity of care.
- Review and promptly follow up on messages, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and concerns.
- Report all incidents to the manager for proper documentation and resolution.
- Receive timecards and patient notes (Shift Progress Logs) from caregivers and meticulously review paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Confirm receipt of documentation with caregivers and communicate any required corrections for proper billing.
- Answer phones and emails, providing courteous and helpful assistance to caregivers, patients, and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records within KanTime or similar systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent issues and ensure continuity of care outside of regular business hours.
- Perform any other duties as required by the position or as requested by the Supervisor.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Professional integrity and a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, and thoroughness in task execution.
- Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in paperwork and documentation.
- Outstanding positive communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new software and systems quickly.
- Experience with HHAeXchange is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency is advantageous but not required.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on patient and caregiver satisfaction.
- Experience with hospital intake and discharge processes is advantageous.
- Familiarity with billing procedures is a plus.
