Greater Omaha Packing is seeking qualified Class A CDL Company Drivers to run shag services & delivery routes in and around the Omaha, NE local area. The driver position is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers or containers within various destinations while maintaining compliance with traffic regulations and safety standards. They are critical in maintaining organized and efficient logistics operations by ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and delivering goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Operation:
- Safely operate and maneuver commercial tractor-trailers following established routes and schedules.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Cargo Transport:
- Safely and effectively move trailers or containers within the facility or adjacent premises to designated locations, docks, or staging areas.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safe driving practices.
- Maintain a clean driving record and promptly report any accidents, violations, or incidents.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of oneself and others.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service during client interactions, including timely and professional delivery of goods.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, or other team members to relay important information or updates on routes, delays, or issues.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
- Minimum age requirement (often 21 years or older for interstate driving).
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience
- Ability to operate a lose manual transmission (required)
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents in the past.
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state transportation regulations.
- Knowledge of hauling a refer trailer (preferred but not required)

Working Conditions:
- Work schedule rotates between first and second shift.
