The duties of the Head Start Teacher are to provide the Head Start child experiences that are age appropriate by directing classroom activities in a healthy, clean and safe environment which promotes the development of self-esteem and independence. The Head Start Teacher encourages the participation of the whole Head Start family in these activities to enable the entire family unit to become self-sufficient.
