Duties
- Schedule and confirm surgical appointments for patients, ensuring all necessary information is collected and communicated effectively.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate surgery logistics.
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette while interacting with patients, addressing their inquiries, and offering necessary support.
- Utilize office management skills to maintain an organized scheduling system and manage appointment calendars.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence related to surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and staff regarding procedures.
- Ensure all coding related to surgeries is completed accurately for billing purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is preferred, with a strong background in a medical office setting.
- Familiarity with office management practices and administrative duties is essential.
- Knowledge of coding practices related to surgical procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals alike.
