Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI) has an immediate opening for a full-time Behavioral Health Coding Auditor. This key position will be based out of the employee's home office, which will need to be located within the state of Oregon.
The Behavioral Health Coding Auditor is responsible to ensure compliance with payment integrity rules. . Provide monitoring of network provider payment integrity, efficiency, and compliance with organizational contracts. This position also provides project management support in key behavioral health initiatives.
Essential duties include :
- Conduct reviews and audits of medical records for coding accuracy (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS) and documentation compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, including CMS guidelines.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and provide feedback on documentation and coding practices.
- Collaborate with relevant departments / providers to resolve audit findings and ensure ongoing compliance with policies and regulations.
- Stay current with changes in coding guidelines, healthcare regulations, and payer policies.
- Assist in developing and refining audit tools, policies, and procedures to support continuous improvement.
- Monitor and track corrective actions post-audit and ensure follow-up to resolve identified issues.
- Complete subcontractor or provider audits both on-site and desk.
- Drives to meetings or other GOBHI locations as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
