Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is presently seeking a full-time Women’s Health Nurse Coordinator in our Medical Division. These positions offers potential for clinical and managerial professional growth.
The Women’s Health Department provides care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team comprised of primary care clinicians (Pediatric – Internal/Adult Medicine – Family Medicine) and specialists (Endocrinology – Infectious Disease – Rheumatology – Podiatry). The healthcare team also includes medical case managers, nurses, and on-site pharmacy services.

Qualified candidates:
- Graduate from an accredited program in nursing.
- Currently licensed as an RN or LPN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- At least two (2) years clinical experience in an ambulatory setting desirable.
- Ability to be creative and deal with a diverse population.
- Must have good oral and written skills.
- Must be CPR certified.
The role involves coordinating care and scheduling appointments for women’s health patients, including labor inductions, cesarean sections, high-risk pregnancy visits, and gynecologic surgeries. It requires obtaining detailed patient histories, preparing for complex cases, and ensuring smooth patient flow to meet clinical objectives. The position includes providing health education on topics like contraception, prenatal care, and smoking cessation, as well as administering immunizations and medications per established protocols. Accurate documentation of patient care, collaboration with providers, and other support staff are essential. The role includes performing administrative and clinical tasks during staffing shortages, such as maintaining emergency supplies, medication closets, and adhering to regulatory standards.
