Job Title: Philanthropy Stewardship Coordinator

Job Summary The Philanthropy Stewardship Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Philanthropy Operations and all members of the External Affairs department to execute effective stewardship plans to deepen engagement and retain the Food Bank’s critical supporter network.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and execute an annual stewardship plan, collaborating with colleagues on all supporter types
· Create and maintain supporter journey documentation, ensuring it is updated and reflects current communication strategies
· Facilitate stewardship communications, such as but not limited to a seasonal stewardship letter, annual report, planned giving donor newsletter, donor statement and holiday card
· Work with colleagues to execute prompt custom acknowledgments for portfolio donors and other strategic audiences
· Manage all steps, including mailing, of post-acknowledgment communications to new donors, new sustainers, portfolio donors, top donors, planned giving donors, and other supporter audiences
· Entry of all FreeWill estate commitments
· Manage and track outstanding pledges and pledge reminders
· Refresh all letter acknowledgment templates seasonally and work with the Philanthropy Communications Specialist to update the online giving autoresponders
· Partner with teams across the department on stewardship and engagement events and activities (in-person and virtual) for all supporter types – logistics coordination, helping to set up, and preparing materials for staff and participants
· Collaborate with Marketing and Communications colleagues to create and refresh stewardship collateral and materials, ensuring content is fresh and current, this includes but is not limited to relevant website content, physical brochures and supporter recognition items
· Coordinate with the Philanthropy Operations team and external direct response partner to ensure we segment and version creative for strategic audiences and that solicitation and cultivation communications align with stewardship plans
· Proactively prepare impact reports as assigned by relationship managers ' donor cultivation plans
· Manage department use and strategy of our video thank you platform, Causevid
· Assist relationship managers with the creation of custom donor materials in Canva
· Provide prompt, courteous and accurate customer service to supporters and colleagues
· Organize annual opportunities for the Food Bank’s board to engage in stewardship activities
· Assist with various research and/or special projects
· Use the Food Bank’s CRM, DonorPerfect, to create, update and maintain donor records
· Act as backup coverage for gift entry when needed
· Provide additional support for front desk coverage as needed
· Perform other related duties as needed and assigned
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field or equivalent experience
· At least three years of experience in a nonprofit work environment, preferably with philanthropy and supporter relations
· Interest in philanthropy best practices and natural curiosity to learn more
· Passion for collaborating across a variety of internal and external stakeholders
· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems promptly
· Ability to proactively analyze information and recommend action steps
· Top-notch interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
· Commitment to keeping a high level of confidentiality
· Exceptional knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database software. Prior experience with a donor CRM is a plus.
