Position Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality medical imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. This role requires a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in sonography techniques.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients in Primary, OB/GYN, and Pediatric Departments, utilizing medical imaging equipment to capture clear and accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate findings with physicians and other healthcare staff.
- Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during the imaging process.
- Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and assist in developing patient care plans.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques.
Requirements
- Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- ARDMS certified.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and provide high-quality patient care.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique to ensure safety during procedures.
- Bilingual a plus (Spanish).
