Are you ready for a summer full of adventure, laughter, and the chance to inspire young people? The South County YMCA is looking for enthusiastic and energetic Summer Camp Counselors to create unforgettable experiences for campers while making a real impact in our community!
As a Summer Camp Counselor, you’ll be a mentor, leader, and role model—guiding kids through exciting outdoor adventures, creative arts, team-building challenges, and character-building activities. Whether you’re leading a hike, organizing a water balloon relay, or helping a camper try something new, you will play a key role in creating a positive and enriching camp experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and engage campers in sports, STEM, arts, outdoor exploration, and team-building activities
- Be a positive role model, creating a fun, inclusive, and safe camp environment
- Build confidence and friendships while fostering social-emotional growth in youth
- Work alongside a passionate team dedicated to youth development and community impact
What We’re Looking For:
- Energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic individuals who love working with kids between the ages of 5 and 12 in an outdoor setting
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills, comfortable addressing groups
- Ability to create a fun, engaging, and safe camp experience
- NO PRIOR CAMP EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED
- Must be at least 18 years old
