What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapist position at Greater Regional Health?
Greater Regional is looking for a full time Respiratory Therapist! This therapist will perform all duties of respiratory care granted under an Iowa License. Under the supervision of the Medical Director and Director of Respiratory, the respiratory therapist will perform and analyze diagnostic tests to evaluate and treat patient’s cardiopulmonary status. Communicate with physicians and nurses to implement appropriate therapy. Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and chest physiotherapy. Set up and monitor invasive and noninvasive ventilatory devices. Evaluate, communicate, and document progress/outcomes of therapies. Conduct outpatient testing to gather data for ordering physician. The therapist will also assist providers and health care team as needed during patient treatment and deals with both inpatient and outpatient cases. Accurate patient charting is also a requirement. The successful candidate should be dedicated to the best practice and care of patients, have a strong work ethic, be reliable, and function as a member of a team.

Requirements:
- Current Certification by National Board of Respiratory Care
- Current Iowa License
- RRT preferred
- Must be comfortable working independently
