GRTC Transit System in Richmond, Virginia seeks a result oriented professional to oversee and manage the daily operations of the microtransit service, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for passengers. This includes managing contractors, overseeing schedules and zones, analyzing data, and providing timely reporting to stakeholders. The Microtransit Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.

WORK SCHEDULE
Typically, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday thru Friday. Occasional assignments may require a flexible work schedule to include weekends.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Microtransit Manager will play a critical role in the success of the microtransit service, ensuring that passengers have safe, reliable, and efficient transportation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public transportation operations and planning, with experience managing teams and working with internal and external stakeholders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the daily operations of the microtransit service, including scheduling, routing, and contractor management.
- Monitor and analyze ridership data to identify trends and adjust service accordingly.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the microtransit service to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
- Manage contractor staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable of all policies and procedures, and able to provide high-quality customer service.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including local government officials, community leaders, and transportation providers, to ensure the success of the microtransit service.
- Develop and manage the budget for the microtransit service, ensuring that expenses are within budget and revenue goals are met.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and employees by maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and following safety policies and procedures.
- Provide regular reports to management and stakeholders on the performance of the microtransit service, including ridership data, budget performance, and service quality.
- Coordinate with the Transportation Department to ensure delivery of high-quality service.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of transit planning and operational principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and policies, including ADA requirements.
- Valid driver's license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years of experience in public transportation operations or planning
- Experience managing contractors.
- Proficiency in ArcPro GIS software
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
