Poultney High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Soccer Coach to lead and develop our student-athletes. The coach will be responsible for fostering a positive and competitive environment while emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.Responsibilities: Plan and conduct team practices focusing on skill development, strategy, and conditioning.Instruct players in fundamental soccer techniques and rules of the game.Develop and implement game strategies.Promote teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship among players.Supervise students during practices, games, and team-related activities.Communicate with parents, school administration, and athletic department as needed.Ensure player safety and follow school and league guidelines.Transport or arrange for transportation to games as necessary.Qualifications: Prior coaching or playing experience in soccer preferred.Knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and training techniques.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to work with middle school students in an encouraging and supportive manner.CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Must pass a background check and meet school district requirements.Schedule & Compensation: Practices and games held during the soccer season ([Specify Season Dates]).Evening and/or weekend availability may be required.Stipend or hourly pay based on experience and school policy.
