Technology/Library Media SpecialistRutland Town School has an opening for a 1.0 FTE Technology/Library Media Specialist with a lens on STEM education beginning the 2025-2026 school year. This candidate would have the ability to teach Pre-K to 8th grade. The successful candidate will need to adapt the existing curriculum to provide rigorous, motivating, and relevant instruction to a broad range of students. An ideal candidate will have experience with maker-space design and using technology in the classroom.The successful candidate will also possess the following attributes;Knowledge of research-based best practicesKnowledge of the Common Core StandardsKnowledge and experience of integrating Vermont ProficienciesKnowledge of proficiency-based reportingExperience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning CommunityKnowledge of best practices regarding student management protocolsKnowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instructionEvidence of strong connection with students and familiesLicensed, eligible, or in the process of obtaining a Vermont Educator LicenseStrong communication skills as evidenced by a quality applicationOngoing educational trainingThe belief that educators ensure learning at a high level for every childExperience with project-based learningRutland Town School is a Pre-K-8 school of 350 students.
