LNA to MA Training Opportunity
Candidates hired under this program will work as a fully integrated member of the Primary Care team as they gain the skills, knowledge, and experience required for promotion to a full time MA position at GSCH.
As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to MA Trainee, you will join a Primary Care team of MAs, RNs, LPNs, and Primary Care Providers to coordinate care in a team-based environment. MAs get the opportunity to cross-train from Primary Care into medical specialties such as Prenatal Care, Pediatric Care, and Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) Care. These cross-training opportunities have helped our clinical staff set the course for future career growth within the medical field.

Your Role:
As an LNA to MA Trainee, you'll be part of a dynamic team working together to make healthcare accessible to everyone in our community.
Your daily duties will include:
- Providing patient services such as chaperoning, collecting specimens, and taking vital signs.
- Rooming patients courteously and timely.
- Preparing exam rooms for patient visits.
- Maintaining supplies and equipment for patient services.
- Supporting patients in improving access to health resources and social services.
- Coordinating medical refills and lab orders under the Provider and/or Clinical Lead's direction.
- Collaborating with all care team members to coordinate and manage patient care.
- Performing limited health screening procedures under direction.
- Participating in preparing patient charts.
- Assisting with intake and discharge procedures as directed.
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
What You Need:
- Education: High School Diploma and completion of a LNA program, with valid LNA license, is required.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a health care setting as a LNA is required for acceptance into the LNA to MA Program.
- Other: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start of employment

This position is eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus of up to $2,500.00.
