What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADULT EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR - PHLEBOTOMY position at Greater Southern Tier BOCES?
LOCATION: Langdon Plaza Campus; Various Clinical Sites in the Region - Hourly, Per-diem; Evenings
- Provide individual and group instruction in the implementation of the job training curriculum
- Adapts teaching methods to meet students' varying needs, abilities and interests;
- Plans and conducts activities for a balanced program of instruction;
- Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by policies;
- Prepares materials and classrooms for class activities;
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, and communicates those objectives to students;
- Carry out all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
HS Diploma, certification and/or licensure as RN/LPN or Phlebotomist. Minimum 5 years experience in the last 8 years and willingness to obtain adult education certification
- Five (5) years’ experience in the phlebotomy field;
- Able to supervise up to fifteen (15) adult students;
- Able to use a computer, email and other applications as necessary
- Have good connections in the community with local healthcare facilities;
- Teaching experience is a plus, but is not required;
- The Teacher must be physically able and willing to meet the academic, emotional and physical needs of all students within the classroom.
