What are the responsibilities and job description for the STUDENT INTERN - COMPUTER SERVICES CENTER position at Greater Southern Tier BOCES?
THIS IS A FULL-TIME (1.0 FTE) 8-Hr DAY TEMPORARY POSITION
- Typically a person with limited work experience in this work area, requiring guidance and training by co-worker or Supervisor
- Unloads, unboxes, image, set-up, configures workstations
- Configuration and set-up of network devices (pc's, hubs, switches, peripherals, etc.)
- Replaces damaged, non-functioning devices (workstations, printers, hubs, switches, telephones, etc.)
- Inventory/account tracking for h/w, s/w, and peripheral devices
- Forward networked related problems or symptoms to Lead or Sr. levels for corrective action
- Good communication skills
Job Qualifications
Requires the candidate has transportation to get to the different work sites.
