Full-time (1.0 FTE), 7-Hr Day, 10-month, School Calendar Year Position

- Demonstrates knowledge of NYS graduation and CDOS requirements.
- Assist in the supervision of program participants at their various work and/or work sites maintained by the program.
- Assists in the development of realistic jobs and/or training opportunities for students.
- Assist in matching job-ready participants with positions available in the public or private sector.
- Disseminate information to students regarding job opportunities, training, or other agency programs. Attend on-the-job and special training sessions, study appropriate materials related to the conduct of local employment and training programs.
- Carries out all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification; must possess at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant Certificate
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
- TCI is required for all Special Education teaching assistant positions.
- The teaching assistant must be physically able and willing to meet the academic, emotional, and physical needs of all students within the classroom.
- CDL license may be required.
