Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
- Assist in the coordination of special events, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
- Engage with residents during activities, providing support and encouragement to foster participation.
- Collaborate with social workers and caregiving staff to address individual resident needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback on activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, particularly those in memory care or long-term care settings.
- Assist with transportation of residents to and from activity areas as needed.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding resident engagement and upcoming events.
Requirements
- Previous experience in event planning or social work is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
- Knowledge or experience in home community care, caregiving, or aging issues counseling is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors.
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on resident needs and preferences.
- A background in memory care or long-term care settings is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.87 - $16.30 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
