Greater Valley Health Center is seeking a highly motivated Quality Compliance Manager to oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance and quality assurance within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Health Center programs and requirements related to Federally Qualified Health Centers and experience implementing robust quality management systems.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role : these duties are the essential functions and are not all-inclusive of all duties that the incumbent performs.
- Actively manages the GVHC quality program including the collection, aggregation and presentation of data in accordance with the quality management plan as adopted by the Board of Directors. Included in this effort is gathering data to support UDS measures, PCMH designation and other quality initiatives as identified by the quality plan or required by other insurers or regulators.
- Responsible for implementation of quality improvement program to support organizational priorities. Efforts will include staff training and support.
- Oversees and manages GVHC progress and efforts to maintain designation as a Patient Centered Medical Home.
- Actively manages the GVHC Risk Management Program including development and full implementation of the risk management plan as adopted by the Board of Directors. Ensures the compliance of FTCA requirements to maintain FQHC deemed status. Continued program development that ensures events are identified, submitted, investigated and reported in an organized fashion. Further analysis, trending and reporting will be presented to the leadership team and Board of Directors.
- Actively manages GVHC patient satisfaction efforts including program design, data collection, trending and regular reporting of patient satisfaction data. This is to include management of the patient complaint programing efforts that ensures closed loop follow through on patient complaints and service recovery.
- Holds responsibility for the organizations compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations. Duties include supervision of the medical records process including creation and release of records, investigation and reporting of potential breaches, and ongoing education of staff.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of a policy management process that assists leadership and staff in ensuring access to policies, and further ensures policies are updated in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the GVHC emergency preparedness program, where planning efforts include policy and plan development, implementation and training.
- Serves as a member of the Leadership Team and participates in relevant GVHC planning meetings. Actively identifies opportunities to strengthen the health center and service delivery.
- Supervises quality data and HIM staff, involving scheduling, management of work activities, and assessment of job performance. Informed by the quality efforts and other activities of this position, provides feedback to other leadership staff to aid them in supervision of their direct reports.
- Informs the Chief Operating Officer with respect to contracts, grants, operations, trends, quality standards, compliance, risk to programmatic designs and technology.
- Manage grant applications to include sourcing, preparation, implementation and continued monitoring.
- Manage and track continuous improvement initiatives and embed lean principles across our operations. Drive process optimization, eliminate waste, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Lead teams to implement process implement process improvement projects. Train and coach employees on lean tools such as 5S and Six Sigma.
- May be called on to participate in program or service line development or review.
- Represents the Health Center at community partner meetings as requested.
- Assists with meetings, seminars or other health program activities.
Qualifications :
Baccalaureate Degree in health or business-related field plus 3 years of health care experience with supervisory expectations.
