Event & Catering Sales Manager

Position Summary :
The Catering Sales Manager serves as the key ambassador and is responsible for selling, booking, planning, and executing all events at the Starting Gate. The Catering Sales manager is the primary contact for the client, managing the relationship and communication from initial contact to event closure, billing, and follow-up. The expectation is the Catering Sales Manager will meet with all event organizers and guide them through the entire event planning process. This position will coordinate with the Sales Managers, Operations Managers, and Executive Chef on proper event space setup, food service, and clean-up details for all events as well as any other event details.
Your Role :
- Serves as the client's main point of contact for the entire event process.
- Monitor and ensure that clients and their guests receive excellent customer service throughout the event planning process and follow up post-event to solicit feedback.
- Report any feedback to the senior sales manager and operations managers promptly.
- Provide facility tours for potential clients to sell the merits of the facility appropriate for the occasion.
- Manage all billing and payment transactions involved with events in NorthStar technology.
- Develop a complete knowledge of all event spaces, menus, wine lists, and miscellaneous services.
- Coordinate marketing efforts with the sales team to promote the Starting Gate in its event facilities.
- Facilitate and execute client events by being onsite a reasonable time before the event's start time to the event's conclusion.
- Maintain a detailed log of all event inquiries, declined business, and book business.
- Attend networking events and professional association meetings to enhance the value and quality of service to the public.
- Maintain reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal state, and local standards.
- Adapts to changing duties as required, based on business needs.
