ROLE
We are looking for a Junior Carpenter to join the GreatHouse family. This individual is an organized, motivated team player with a desire to learn and willingness to jump in where needed. In this role, you will work with the production team to perform carpentry tasks, expedite construction, and maintain clean and safe work spaces. This role is a training role, and is ideal for someone who wants to grow into an experienced carpenter position over time, as we are always looking to provide growth opportunities for our employees.
Salary/Benefits
· Competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus profit sharing of up to 25% of employee salary, paid quarterly (this means a bonus every three months!)

Responsibilities:
· Perform basic job site duties including demolition, clean-up, and site preparation, as well as more advanced carpentry work with training from team members (e.g., framing, trim, cabinet installations, door and window installations, etc.)
· Maintain a clean and secure shop, shop yard, and all other work areas
· Ensure proper materials and supplies are at job sites when needed for installation
· Load / unload trucks at shop and/or jobsite
Who You Are
While we have some ideal qualifications (listed below), our main goal is to find someone who fits our company’s core values, is eager to learn, and is passionate about the same stuff we are (building great houses for great people!). You must be an ambitious, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated hard worker with a knack for carpentry and home building.
Qualifications:
· Ideal candidate is familiar with construction and building products, and has some experience in residential construction (6 months - 3 years), either as a carpenter or laborer
· Proficient in English with strong ability to follow instructions and communicate with team as needed to complete tasks
· Reliable work vehicle
· Comfortable performing physical labor for majority of day
· One team attitude and willingness to do whatever is needed to get the job done (no ego)
· Georgia driver’s license and good driving record
· Pass a background check
· NO smoking, period. Zero tolerance policy towards drugs (we do random drug screenings)
· Not required to own tools, but basic hand tools are a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
