GreatLakes Equipment is a family-owned & operated dealership located in Ontario, NY. We are Kioti Tractor's Certified 5-Paw dealer. We specialize in tractors, residential & commercial zero-turns, debris & power equipment, implements & attachments. Our brands include Kioti, Scag, Wright, Ferris, IronCraft, Seppi, & Lane Shark.
The Counter Sales position is the first point of contact with a customer. We are in need of a highly motivated & driven individual that can wear many hats. Their primary focus will be the parts dept & mower sales. We are a well-known small dealership in our community & provide nothing but superior customer service & always stay knowledgeable of our brands & their products.
Job Description:
- Manage & maintain parts inventory w/ service dept: receive inventory, enter inventory items, purchase orders, inventory audits, inventory reports, reorder points, margins, profits, etc.
- Engage, facilitate & close sales: parts, service, new & used equipment, attachments, etc.
- Create/process invoices, processing credit cards.
- Understanding of current sales & parts programs, special financing, rebates, etc.
- Answer phones, emails, text messages
- Responsible for opening / closing shop as needed
- Deliveries as needed - clean license required
- Cleaning showroom, display racks, garbage, etc.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills & well organized
- Excellent communication skills - with customers & other depts/employees
- Knowledge of small-engines & power equipment - knowing our brands is a plus
- Knowledge of QuickBooks: entering items, invoices, new customers, running reports, etc.
- Use of email, text platform, credit card processor
- Be able to maintain accurate cash drawer
- Self-starter, drive to get the job done - we are a small team - all hands on deck
- Ability to manage high volume / stressful situations

Working Hours:
We are a seasonal business & determine our summer / winter hours based on weather.
Winter Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 - 4:30 pm (½ hour lunch)
Summer Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 - 5:00 pm (1 hour lunch)
Saturday: 8:00 - 12:00 pm (Mandatory & Rotating)
