DUTIES
Assembly Operations: Assemble and manufacture wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical components according to work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
Perform crimping, stripping, soldering, splicing, and termination of wires and cables. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Soldering: Use a soldering iron to attach wires to switches, connectors, or terminal strips.
Wire Routing and Tying: Route and tie wires to form wire harnesses, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on a harness board. Knowledge and use of various hand and power tools.
Reporting: Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent hand dexterity.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand while working, lift to 20 pounds, and handle small parts. May involve working with small components under a microscope or magnifier.
Communication: Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Proven ability to work as a member of a team or individually to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in cable assembly, wire harness assembly, or electronic manufacturing required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Must have experience with soldering.
- Skilled in using hand tools, crimpers, and measurement equipment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring, connectors, and cable routing.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 or IPC/WHMA-610 standards is preferred but not required (certification is a plus).
