Summary:
Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for procurement, supplier relationships, and inventory management? Great River Energy is looking for a Supply Chain Agent to support our operations by developing and maintaining supplier alliances, managing contracts, and ensuring timely access to critical materials and services.
Total Rewards:
A typical starting range for this position is $75,000 - $103,000 annually. We offer market competitive base pay and adjust our offer accordingly based on the value of the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support strategic business goals.
- Manage purchasing functions, including converting requisitions to purchase orders and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, insurance, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Provide critical information on lead times, pricing, and sourcing options to internal customers.
- Optimize supply chain efficiency by consolidating orders, securing favorable volume pricing, and reducing purchase order volume.
- Monitor order statuses, track materials, and collaborate with suppliers to address any discrepancies or delays.
- Partner with senior supply chain team members to align procurement and inventory strategies with organizational needs.
- Analyze inventory usage and recommend stocking levels to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials.
- Act as the key contact for automated re-order processes and issuance of inventory replenishment purchase orders.
- Support the development and maintenance of inventory stocking levels.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, or a related field
- At least two years of experience in purchasing and inventory control.
- Knowledge of contracts, procurement regulations, cost analysis, and supply chain management best practices.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret requisition requirements, bid specifications, and commercial terms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software applications.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Professional purchasing certification preferred.
