Job Summary
A warehouse associate responsible for selecting products accurately and efficiently, preparing them for shipping by stacking in an orderly configuration, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice and Safe Quality Food policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select products from stock based on customer orders and labels.
- Assemble customer orders on pallets in the correct sequence and attach labels.
- Operate an electric pallet jack to transport products to dock areas for staging.
- Handle products with care to minimize damage.
- Report any damage or issues to supervisors.
- Perform daily equipment checks and assist with facility cleaning.
- Sign out equipment when finished using it and use basic communication skills to understand work systems and instructions.
- Maintain adherence to GMP and SQF policies as described in the European Imports – Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
A high school education or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience:
Prior warehouse experience is preferred, especially handling up to 80 lbs. regularly.
Working Conditions:
The job requires working in various temperatures ranging from 0°F to 65°F.
Supervision Received:
The role receives general supervision from the Day or Night Assistant Warehouse Manager.
